After years of reading about the One Lap of America race in Car and Driver magazine, I decided it was time to try it. So I entered my mostly stock 1989 BMW 535i into the Luxury Car Class.  With just a handful of driving schools under our belt, my brother Garrett and I didn’t do to badly. In a field of over a hundred cars we finished 77th and 7th in our class of 10. Not bad for a 23 year old with no money (that was me) and my (then) 19 year old brother.
